More & More Sickness!!
After Sam was treated for pneumonia, Danni and Rock both became sick and I had to take them to Instacare. And sure enough, they each had pneumonia as well!! So all three are now on antibiotics and are so happy to be around!!!!

More Sickness!
Yesterday, Sam told me her stomach was hurting, but she didn't really act any different so I did not pay much attention. This morning, she complained of a headache, sore throat and being so cold. When we checked her temperature, she was up to 104 degrees. I gave her tylenol and she has slept some. She says she is feeling a little better, but I keep checking her temp and it hasn't gotten below 101. So now she also has ibuprofen on board and we'll see what happens. She is very concerned about being sick, though, because the other day she got wet with our secondary water.
Because of Sam's immune system being suppressed, we have many things we have to watch for and avoid; secondary water being one of them becuase it could carry certain bugs and germs that wouldn't hurt a healthy person, but could have devastating effects on Sam. She always tries to push things as far as possible and the other night while I was watering the lawn, she got really close to the sprinklers but swore to me that she did not get wet. Later that night, she asked me what could happen if she did get wet in the sprinklers. So I was very honest with her and told her worst case scenario she could get really sick and die. At bedtime she came into my room and said she was really scard to go to sleep. When I asked why, she admitted to getting a few spinkles of water on her arms and now she was afraid she wouldn't wake up if she went to sleep.
I felt really guilty for scarying her so bad, but I really hope she gets the severity of her situation and realizes that she needs to do what we say and believe what we tell her. I got her calmed down and told her that we would be able to see that she was getting sick and that she would okay. She did finally fall asleep and in the morning told me that she believed me.
Well, now she is sick and she is pretty nervous. If Bubba hadn't been sick over the weekend, I would probably really worried too. But for now, we'll just keep on eye her and maybe take her the doctor if the fever doesn't get better.

Today Allen celebrates SIX YEARS of sobreity!! We don't get to see him today, but our thoughts and prayers are with him. I am so proud of my husband. I know that it has not been easy, for either of us, but he has been bery strong and takes one day at a time. Good Job, Hon, I love ya!!

Sunday
Bubba started with a major headache yesterday afternoon while the cousins were here. Then she started to fever and has a terrible cough! Tylenol helped her, but she had to miss church today. She was supposed to give the scripture in primary this morning. This afternoon she is feeling better and hasn't had any more fever. Hopefully, it was just a short bug and she is over it!

Saturday
Becky came up today to pick up her kids and to visit for the day. We all decorated the house for Allen, because he is coming home today. We wanted to surprise him for his 6 years of sobriety! The kids had fun teasing each other and just playing. We just all relaxed and visited for the afternoon and then had taco salad for dinner. To top the day off, Zach volunteered to mow my lawn for me. I had been dreading it all week and I had just said something along the lines of not wanting to do it and Zach piped up and said, I'll do it! I wasn't going to turn down such on offer, so I went out to help him out and he did a great job!! Thanks so much Chicken Head!!

They're Home
Mom and the kids got home this afternoon, and she brought 2 extra kids - Zach and Sarah! I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow, so there were absolutely no groceries in the house! We had frozen waffles for dinner and I'll have to go shopping in the morning. It was so good to see the kids, I have really missed them. Rock would not let me out of his sight, it was soooo cute!! I got to hear all about their trip several times from each of the kids. I am so glad to be able to hug them!

Swimming
I stole this from my sister's blog since I am not there to see the kids. It sounds like they have had so much fun swimming! Mom said that Rock also really enjoyed it. It took him a while to actually get in the water, but once he did, he loved it. They left for Helper today and when I called Allen an hour ago, Rock answered the phone. So now Allen is in heaven with the kids. They are all having lots of fun. Thanks to Mom for taking the kids on this fun little visit and giving me some time to sleep!

All Alone
Mom and the kids left yesterday for a whole week! Mom was so nice that she took the kids down to Becky's for a couple of days to play with their cousins and to swim. Then they are headed down to see Allen for the weekend. They'll stay over at Kris' and I'm sure that they'll have a ton of fun. The kids were so excited to see their Daddy, they were busting at the seems. Mom brought the kids into work yesterday on their way out of town to say goodbye to me. They are absolutely adorable. Rock just wanted to be held and hugged me so tight!! Bubba held on just as tight and wouldn't let me stand up after hugging her, she just held on. She said she was going to miss me so much. And Sam couldn't leave fast enough. She did give me a hug and kiss and said bye and that she would miss me, but she was ready for the road. As much as I am going to miss them, I have to admit that I am a little excited to have the house to myself. I won't have to feel guilty about sleeping after work and I can sleep as long as I want in between shifts!
On a funny note, the other day while the kids and I were at the post office checking the mail, Danni asked from the back seat of the van, "Since Dad isn't living with us right now, does that mean that I'm going to get a stepdad?" I then had to explain you only get step parents when your parents are divorced and that daddy and I are still happily married, but that daddy just works out of town until he is able to transfer to a position back here in Logan. That seemed to calm her mind and she hasn't brought it up again. I keep forgetting to tell Allen this little story, but I can only imagine that he will welcome this unknown stepdad as long as he is willing to pay the bills. Am I right, hon?

Our little garden
A couple weeks ago the girls and I planted some seeds in a little greenhouse on our kitchen counter. The plant starts grew so well!! On Monday, as I mowed and edged the lawn, Mom and the girls (mostly just mom) finished weeding this little area and we planted our little garden. I have no idea what to expect, but I am excited to see how well we do with it!

Girls Day Out
Once a month we try to have a day out with just the girls. For June our plan was to go to Lagoon. But 2 days before we were supposed to go, we found out it was going to be closed. So after much deliberation, we finally decided on something else to do - Boondocks! We had sooooo much fun. I haven't laughed that hard in so long.
We got an unlimited pass and was able to ride the Go-Karts over and over. Miss Terri had something to prove. She couldn't just beat us, she had to beat all the little 12 year olds as well!! We also played mini golf, and guess who won? Maybe the lovely picture above showing who got a hole-in-one gives you a hint? Yep, I was the winner - and I actually got 2 hole-in-ones. At some of the holes, there were spinners that we had to spin and follow the directions it gave. Miss JoAnn and Miss Terri spinned the one that said to stand on one leg. Aren't they crazy? And Miss Nichole came in right behind me, she says I only won by 1 swing, but she was the one keeping score. I think she may have been padding the numbers some?! On one of the holes, Terri's ball landed in the pond and she actually fished it out, we were all laughing so hard, I thought she was going to fall in.
Then one of us had the bright idea of riding the bumper boats with a bunch of little kids. JoAnn said that they wouldn't squirt people they didn't know. But all those little kids ganged up on us and soaked us!! We just tried to run away, but they wouldn't let us. One of the little guys even said to Nichole that it was fun to sqiurt us because we didn't want to get wet. The little terd!! When the ride was over, we were drenched! We also played in the arcade and Laser Tag. We had so much fun! JoAnn fell in laser tag and ripped the knee of her pants and bruised her knee, she was limping around afterwards.
After Boondocks, we went to Tempanyaki for dinner. It was amazing!! The chef cooked right in front of us and gave quite the show. Then we were able to sing to Terri and celebrate her birthday. Afterwards, we went to the movie Letters from Juliet. It was a great show. The day was amazing and one that we all deserved. Thanks to Mom for watching my kids and letting me get away for awhile, I really needed it!! I'm so looking forward to next month, what are we doing???
